Jonathan Hamilton is executive chef of both La Carnita and Home of the Brave, two popular restaurants in Toronto. He began his culinary career as a teenager in Stratford, Ontario working at various restaurants and then completed his Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Guelph in Hotel and Food Administration. After finishing school Jonathan moved to Toronto where he apprenticed at Le Select Bistro and worked his way up to junior sous chef, and then went on to become chef de cuisine at Pizzeria Libretto’s Ossington location. Jonathan often finds himself MacGyvering complex problems with everyday materials and is an expert in cracking coconuts. Jonathan strives to create a positive and challenging kitchen environment where his cooks are held to a high standard of quality with a focus on fun and creative food.
